OUR PRODUCTS

Hand-carved wooden lidded pots

Shape: Rounded, bulbous bodies that taper slightly toward the base, giving them an elegant, balanced form typical of decorative African wooden vessels.

  • Each pot has a fitted domed lid with a prominent knob handle.
  • The left lid shows a more detailed, layered carving resembling foliage or traditional motifs.

Carving Style: Both pots feature intricate relief carvings around the body and lids. The designs include stylized leaves, vines, floral motifs, and possibly symbolic patterns common in various African carving traditions (West African, East African, or Southern African influences)

African spiral baskets

While traditional African baskets were often functional (for storing grain, carrying goods, or winnowing), modern versions like these have evolved into highly decorative art pieces. The bold colors and contemporary spiral designs reflect a fusion of heritage craft with global appeal. Such baskets are very popular in South African craft markets, tourist shops, and as export items.

  • These are two beautiful handwoven African spiral baskets, a classic example of traditional African basketry with a strong contemporary artistic flair.
  • They represent the skill, creativity, and color-loving spirit of African artisans who continue to keep traditional weaving techniques alive while adapting them for modern tastes.
  • These baskets are vibrant, joyful, and full of energy. The swirling patterns symbolize movement, life force, and the interconnectedness often found in African symbolism.

Technique: Both baskets are meticulously handwoven using the coiling technique, where a core (often grass or reed) is wrapped and stitched with colorful threads or fibers. This method is common across many African basket-making traditions, particularly in countries like South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia

Three Carved Wooden Bowls

This piece showcases three hand-carved wooden bowls, a classic example of traditional African craftsmanship, likely from West or Central Africa (common in countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, or Senegal

  • One bowl is tilted to beautifully display the thickness of the wood and the depth of the carving.
  • These are common symbols in African art representing fertility, growth, and connection to the land.
  • The bowls feature intricate, deeply carved relief patterns around the exterior.

The carving is bold and expressive — characteristic of functional African art that combines beauty with everyday use
